The story behind the logo

The process of making a new logo for a company can be a long and time consuming process.

The idea for my PURE VISION logo came in a very easy and wonderful way.

Over the past 20 years I have visited Orkney many times, mainly in connection for my business with Orkney Herring Company Ltd. In October 2009 I brought a friend from Denmark with me and there was time to be a tourist . We visited Maeshowe, one of many very interesting archeological sites on the Islands from Neolithic times.
There ,in the visitors center of Maeshowe, was my logo – a necklace titled ”Summer Splash”.
For me it represented all that I wanted to signal with my company:

GROWTH – HEART – JOY – BALANCE – HARMONY

The jewellery is designed by Sheila Fleet and made in her own factory in Orkney.
Sheila Fleet grew up in Orkney and still lives there. She gets her inspiration from the wonderful nature and history of the Islands. Sheila is today one of Scotland’s leading designer-makers of jewellery.

Sheila has very kindly let me use her design ”Summer Splash” for my logo.
